Schedule: Monday-Friday; during School hours. 20+; hours vary each week depending on school schedules and needs.


The Prevention Specialist Lead is a part-time role responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and delivery of prevention programming for elementary and middle school students and community members. This position partners closely with the Director of Prevention to enhance curriculum, mentor team members, and deliver engaging educational presentations that promote wellness, safety, and positive outcomes within rural communities.

Key Responsibilities


  • Support the development, production, and implementation of prevention curriculum
  • Facilitate classroom and community-based prevention programming as assigned
  • Train and mentor new team members in curriculum delivery, classroom management, and required documentation
  • Provide students with appropriate referrals and resources within the school or community setting
  • Collaborate with school personnel to support students who may benefit from additional guidance or resources
  • Participate in assigned trainings and ongoing professional development
  • Maintain regular attendance and support additional duties as assigned


Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


  • Bachelor’s degree in a mental health-related field as recognized by the US Department of Education required

Work Experience/Training/Additional Requirements

  • Experience working with elementary and/or middle school student population preferred
  • Experience networking and communicating with school personnel and community members preferred
