RESPONIBILITIES:
- Use critical thinking skills and respond quickly and professionally under stressful and sometimes emergent situations
- Provide clinical assessment and nursing triage to a wide variety of patients across the health continuum and/or health education to culturally diverse populations
- Assists in directing patient to the most appropriate level of care
- Provide telephonic health information and nursing education
- Assists and empowers patients to make better health care decisions
- Helps patients to participate in other external programs or resources available to them to improve their health
- Work in collaboration with Telehealth providers by referring appropriate patients who may benefit from a “virtual care visit”
- Provide outbound follow-up calls as necessary
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Nursing Degree (Diploma, ADN, BSN) required
Certification and Licenses:
- Active, unrestricted RN licensure in the state where the candidate resides with the ability to obtain multi-state licensure is required
- eNLC preferred or ability to obtain
Previous Experience:
- Two to four years of clinical experience required
- Hospital experience on medical-surgical, critical care, or inpatient care setting preferred
- Experience in Emergency Room, EMT, or Triage experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be a team player
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all members of the healthcare team (nurses, physicians, care managers, social workers, etc.)
- Understand health insurance, community resources, and other areas associated with coordinating community-based healthcare
- Excellent organizational skills, can prioritize and complete tasks when there are multiple competing priorities
- Decisiveness and attention to details as well as proficiency with technology, including computers, software applications, phone systems, etc.
- Knowledge of Hospital Electronic Medical Records (EMRs)
- Manage patient information according to HIPPA guidelines
- Ability to plan, supervise, and review the work of clinical and non-clinical staff
- Ability to work under stressful conditions or irregular hours
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND SCHEDULE:
Location:
- Remote - United States, must be able to work hours listed below.
Schedule:
- Night Shift: 7pm - 7am CT
- Full time & Part time opportunities available on night shift!
Pay Range:
27.00 - 40.00 USD per hour
This range represents the anticipated base salary for this role. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.
