EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy degree program required.
EXPERIENCE: One year experience as a licensed occupational therapist preferred.
PERSONAL JOB-RELATED SKILLS: Knowledge of occupational therapy procedures and equipment. Effective oral and written communication skills. Familiar with operating computers and ability to utilize computer systems.
LICENSURE, REGISTRY, CERTIFICATIONS: Current Occupational Therapy License in the state of Texas required. Current CPR certification required.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Duties of the position require extended periods of standing and walking. Repeated bending, stooping, and reaching. Pushing and pulling up to 150 pounds and carrying up to 75 pounds. Lifting to 75 pounds and heavier lifting in transferring or supporting who may suddenly become weak or helpless. The ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
